Contemporary Hypocrisy

If you know anything about me, its that I can find humor in almost anything. While certainly bothered, not upset, by recent comments by the newly elected DNC chairman Howard Dean, I can't help but be amused by the dearth of public outcry the incident. Barely a week into his defacto chairmanship of the Democratic Party, and Dean is saying something else stupid. To be real if Chappelle had said it, I 'd laugh my ass off; but an old white guy, (who should know better) said it. Now it would be hypocritical if I got all upset and ranted and raved about this. Just one thing, exact words uttered out of say... Bush's mouth. What happens?

The name Scholar's Ascent is meant to be a nod to the fact that I am a student on the cusp. The cusp of what, one might ask. Well that is something that I intend to find out. I invite you to comment and share, but be aware I intend for this to be a positive project for me to sort of document my progress toward my goals. I may rant or rave or I may just post some random thoughts and musings. You'll find that I can be very sarcastic. While some of what I do/say may be entertaining, that is not my aim. Enjoy!
